My husband and I Stayed in the Big Bamboo in January. It was an absolute treat. The view from the suite is stunning, we sat many a night on the expansive balcony enjoying a glass of wine listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean.
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and provide an airport pick up and drop off if required.
Everywhere was spotless and tastefully decorated, we even had our own private indoor pool! The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need, and more.
There are two bathrooms, both of which had lovely sized showers, plenty of hot water, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash were included.
The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept well.
The location was perfect, a short walk down to the beach where a fresh water river meets with the ocean. There is a restaurant within easy walking distance and even a local Gin distillery that holds open houses each week. Grocery stores and restaurants are just a few minutes away in Calibishi.
We will definitely be returning next year, as there are so many things left to see and do on the island that we didn’t get around to doing. We highly recommend Hodges Bay House to anyone visiting beautiful Dominica
