Calibishie is a delightful oceanside village that offers restaurants, small grocery stores, bars, an ATM, gas pump, local produce and friendly local faces. The currency on Dominica is the Eastern Caribbean dollar. Some places and
vendors will accept US dollars, but prefer if you pay in EC.
Some businesses offer credit card machines, but not all. Cash is still king here on Dominica!
The area around Calibishie offers several public beaches, a chocolate making business, the Red Rocks, as well as many walking paths to name but a few attractions.
Just down the road from us is Seacliff Gin Distillery. From January to April they offer gin tastings every Tuesday and Friday at 4pm. Even if you are not a gin fan, the garden tour alone is worth it!
